Hi,

I've done a skin in Photoshop and would like to code it. The problem lies in not knowing 100% how this is done. I have done some changes inside of Vbulletin several times to create a unique skin but never from a Photoshop PSD file that I created.

The design I speak of is:

Would it be easy to do this design in the default skin? I have purchased several skins from other "skin stores" in hopes of mixing and matching as needed.

So, how hard or how easy would creating this skin be considered? Should I use a premade template (skin) of which I purchased and take it from there or should it be 100% from scratch?

I'd suggest doing it from scratch, just because you'll gain more experience and possibly learn a bunch of stuff in the process :)

I would suggest coding it from scratch because there will be areas of the design that will need specific slicing and you could run into problems with images breaking and not fitting together because the slice/code would be different dimensions or a repeating slice would run off here and there.

It's always best to start from scratch which ensures you won't get any breakage in the design after it's been sliced.
