possible to move enter forum topic areas to another database

hi there, i had a idea i wanted to try, and that was to copy the forum contents of one of my already well populated board forum topic areas to another database to jumpstart it...

is it possible to copy forum threads/posts to another database easily - without having to manually submit things- ???

i think this would make a perfect hack
