Is it possible to put vbGallery images on a vbulletin forumdisplay page?

My pet-related vbulletin (3.6.4) is set up with forums like:
--Dogs
--Cats
--Fish
--Birds

I have the same categories created in my vBgallery.

Is it possible to display the image of the most recent vBgallery uploads (or the most recently commented vBgallery image) for a specific category to display in the corresponding vBulletin forumdisplay page?

For example, I would like to have the most recent image vBgallery uploads for "Dogs" to display in the forumdisplay for "Dogs" in vBulletin.

Can this be accomplished?

I asked vbgallery and never received a reply. So I assumed the answer was "no".

I wonder if $80 would be enough for someone to write the add-on?
