Basically I'm trying to figure out how I would do the following..
I have a database and an rss feed with news and an id number on the news stories
I can set up the RSS reader in VBulletin to pull the data and create threads
What I want to do is create a feed or a database that lists the threads created along with some identifier that was already given via the feed...This way i can frame vbulletin alongside the news to have an active commenting system. I could have the news on one side and the forum on the other side (top/bottom, left/right.. doesn't matter too much)
The end result would be that I would open up a link to a news story and it would automatically open the associated thread.
Any ideas?
