Alrighty then, since i spend alot of time giving opinion's on what i think about other's site's, i thought i would toss my site up for review just incase anyone would like to give their opinion about mine.
I have been working with my vbulletin site for a little over 2 year's now. I have been through 1 serious hack of my database which caused a total rebuild. The hack attack was in august of last year. I almost gave up after the attack and wasn't going to rebuild, but the great member's of my site helped keep me going.
Anyway's, i just though since i am alway's tossing in my .02 about other's site's, i would let other's give their opinion about mine.
90% of my site is viewable without registering, so you DO NOT need to become a member to view and give a review of my site.
My site is a mustang based automotive site. It is Insanemustangs.com (Insanemustangs.com)
Hope you like what i have done, and it is still a work in progress.

You might think about adding a Hit Counter and some background midi music to match your current theme.
Other than that..good luck with your forum. Thanks for the flashback.

I hate background music on websites.
I like the layout and design of your website though.

da420, check out the video player addition i did on the right handside of my main site......basically it pulls video's from google, youtube, etc.....and then randomly display's a different video each time the page is refreshed....I think it turned out pretty darn good, i am very excited about it.

Oh yeah, very nice! It's just too bad I can't see the videos (at work)...
Maybe I will post my site for you all to review after a bit...

Wow, nicely done. I love the silver textures for the frames. The one thing that caught my eye is the roll-up graphic. Although overall it does suit the site, you should remove the blue corners on them, make the corners transparent.

Hotwheels, the "round" roll-up button on the top right of each panel has the four corners showing in blue. Other than that, your site is well done.
The forum badly needs to be re-skinned. If you make the background plain white, lighten the postbit text, and get rid of all borders andunderlines it will look a hundred times better. Or even better, set the 'Fireball' theme as default (providing you get rid of the borders on it as well). The concept of the forums is a good one, but the skin is killing all potential.

Or even better, set the 'Fireball' theme as default (providing you get rid of the borders on it as well).I had the fireball set up as the default and i tried the heavy metal as default, the member's complained that it was way to dark.......so i tried to meet the members half way, and built the grey/silver screen......I really do appreciate the feedback on my site.....thanks.

Way to busy. You have stuff moving, scrolling, flashing, and images swapping everywhere. The first thing I would suggest would be to tone that all down. Bells and Whistles are fun and all, until they interfere with using the site. Personally all that "fluff" is giving me a headache, and more importantly it may be driving off potential members.
The logo lettering needs to be defined more. I can barely read the title, and I have no idea what the tag line is. I would also drop the random image part of it as it works against developing a brand recognition.
You have 2 welcome messages for guests on the forum home. Lose the lower one and give a bit more detail to the one at the top. It is customised, but still very stock.
The skins themselves are quite basic and seem to have very little to do with the site theme. The default one is probably the best, but all the flashing draws my eyes away from the actual content. Keep flashing to important items, if at all.
You need more content. Your highest posting forum is a bot forum, that is not good. You need content that is relevant to the site and the community.
There are also way to many forums for the activity level. Combine similar forums to boost there content, then as the community needs it you can branch out again.
This goes along with my first comment about the site being to busy......way to many mods. This is causing the nav bar to look flooded and the whole forum in general to be overwhelming and not focused on the topic. My suggestion is to reevaluate the mods you have and remove ones that serve no purpose to the community you are trying to grow. This will also be a benefit as your forum grows, mods take up resources and this can become a problem when a forum gets big.
It is a good start, but I think it could use some work. Keep at it and you will end up with a great forum :).
