I see many very cool hacks done here but never saw anyone integrating php link directory into vb. I think that would be a cool hack that would benefit many communities.

Personally, I would just like to integrate the style to match, mirror, and change with my vbulletin.

Is it hard to hack this? How come no one ever gave it a shot? If someone made this as a 3rd party ad-on like I would not mind paying for it. Phplinkdirectory is awesome!

There's vBAdvanced's Links Directory:
http://www.vbadvanced.com/links

I purchased it a while ago and I hate it.
Love vbadvanced, but that directory does not feel like a real directory.

I am looking for a mod like Link Automate.com [http://www.linkautomate.com/] that will work with VB.

I was considering buying it, and thanks for the heads up.

Oh... another way to have a lin ks directory is to maybe use some CMS maybe MKPortal or Drupal and strip it down to just have a links section. I did it the hard way and entered links manually via bbcode in VBAdvanced.:p

I was trying to do this myself not long ago but I am just not experienced enough.. I ended up just adding the directory seperate..

This is another mod that I like too but I cannot remember who wrote it..

http://www.talkandmore.net/local_links.php

Do a search and you will find it though...

If anyone wants to do a phplinksdirectory integration I would definitly use it.. :)

I use PHPLD, albeit without any vB integration, for what it's worth.

I just tossed it in a subdomain.

you can match phpLd tempaltes to vb's pretty easily if you know a little css

I don't suggest vba link dir, I don't like the look or benifits to the user suggesting his/her site.

I use the geek's GAR (http://www.thevbgeek.com/geekmart.php?do=displayproduct&id=3)'s on our Free vBulletin Link Directory (http://forum.vbulletinsetup.com/f42/) I love it, it's easy to add blocks and move things around.. I have a pretty stock look, but I've seen some Sweet pages with GAR's

I´m searching for this too.

phpld would be a great Addon, the Version 2 of phpld is free available, so many people could use this.

I've been working with Loco.M on this, and we now have an official mod for integrating vBulletin with phpLD. There is some information about it here:
http://www.phplinkdirectory.com/articlescript/3_3_Mod_-_Connect_phpLD_to_vBulletin_of_phpBB.php
We have more to come on this soon.

Please post your integration addon on vb.org (I assume that this is allowed)

I certainly want to be respectful of your community rules. If anyone has any other questions, please ask them in the phpLD Forums.

Thanks,
David

phpLD is paid, while the hack is not.
