On Usergroup Change - Send Pm/Email

This modification has been requested many times I've seen on .org. I decided to figure it out on my own and release it to everyone even though I really don't have time to be coding lately.

Description:
This hack allows a PM or Email to be sent to a user upon usergroup change from the ADMINCP.

Installation:
Just import the product, configure the settings & your done!

Note:

This is really a huge deal IMO.

To be changed from one group to another is about as big a deal within a forum as you can get. And to be notified of being moved to a new group should be part of the core.

Could you add the ability to choose which user groups can be turned off?

I'm using a mod (miserable users) where I really don't want to declare that I have placed someone into that group.

Would this be ok?

Email on waiting for confirmation.

After registering the new visitor gets an email stating the he has been added to the users waiting for authorization group.

This is how I have my emails set and what my test user account received:

"Hello ihhahcnsd,

It appears your user group has been changed to Users Awaiting Email Confirmation.

If you believe this to be an error please contact one of the Administrators at politicalforums.net

Thanks!"

So, will this send out the email if the usergroup is changed automatically -- like when a subscription changes it? Is it only on the Primary usergroup, or any usergroup?

lol... this is exactly what I need and I also have an 'elite member' group :D

Will it also send the auto pm when the user has buyed a subscription with paypal and the group is changed automatically?

Also is it possible to make it send only for the 'elite member' (or payed) group so the pm can be customized for that? :) Or send a different pm for that group and the simple one for others?

Not bad; it can only indicate the name of the usergroup changed to for Primary User Group changes.

No big deal. I just removed the name from the PMs / E-mails.

I am looking for this for my subscription email/PM announcement but accroding what is here

- it doesnt work for secondary group
- id doesnt work for subscription_change_group :-(
