Posting Pics on the Forum Index Page.

I would like to add a 'Faces' of the website picture on the forum index page between the shoutbox and forums. This could be just one picture but with the option to put up say five pics in a row, nothing too big..say about half the size of the message field that i'm typing this message in, per pic that is (sorry, don't know sizes!).

Is this possible at all and if it is what would I need to do?
