Games - new installation

New to running forum games such as these - text games in posts , yes

Is this the vBulletin version to go with? Is there any reviews or side by side comparisons of what is good and bad about the versions to make a decision?

Obviously this having a dedicated forum here says something, but before I jump into an install I wanted to test the waters
