Hello. Do you know if there is a IPB default theme and phpBB default theme style for vBulletin? Has anyone tried that?

latest versions or older?

How detailed would you be looking for?

Are we talking exact replicas or vB'ed versions?

Depending on the exact specs that you are looking for, then they can be made although the time required will vary depending on detail.

phpBB is easier too as an install of that can be set up easily to look at while styling, IPB is not so easy as it isn't free software any more.

IPB 1.3 and IPB 2.X, preferably IPB 2.X. For vBulletin 3.6.4 and vBulletin 2.X. Well they should look as much as IPB as possible and phpBB. :P

I'd need to know which version you are going to be using because I won't be coding any styles for 2.3.11 unless I know that they will be used.

Alright. The latest vBulletin 3 version (3.6.4) and the latest vBulletin 2 version.

You do know that you can only run one installation per licence?

Yes, I am very aware of that. ;) I can use vBulletin 2 on my test forum. :) Or maybe vBulletin on my live site. But it would be cool if the theme is both for vBulletin 2 and 3, I think some even would switch to vBulletin then from IPB etc and phpBB. :)

I'll see about getting it coded for 3.6.4 but it won't be done quickly

Alright nice, looking forward to see the results. ;) Because some people says that the IPB default theme is so better than the vBulletin, then if it available for vBulletin, then it great. :D

Some Vietnamians http://www.vbviet.org/ made it already here is a Demo on my site viparmenia.com (http://viparmenia.com/vb/index.php?styleid=8).

But you need to spend some time to make it usefull for yourself as of vietamian buttons. I also have some buttons still in vietnamian ;).

I hope this wouldn't be counted as advertisement - I put a package for testdownloads on my server as of vietnamian server is oft unreachable here is the IPB style for VB (http://viparmenia.com/vb/styles/IPB%202.2%20Skin%20For%20vBulletin%203.6.2.zip)

But I would be also happy - to see here more qualitative and supported IPB stlye for vb 3.6.4

I asked IPB about this once on behalf of another project, it's not permitted to replicate their graphics as they're all copyrighted. I'm sure vBulletin would say exactly the same thing about a vB theme for IPB. I suspect either company would put their lawyers in touch. So that's a no-no.

phpBB are a bit more open, I don't recall the terms but I do remember that they allow it under some lax conditions. If you ask on the phpBB forums there's a guy dealing with the design side of things you can email and ask. I gained permission that way.

The question is not the graphics, but look лике IPB - tables, colors of tables. I guess the rights on table sizes and colors couldn't be reserved.
