Accentuation problem in my mod opensearch

Hi,

I'm made the mod called OpenSearch Easy (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=134664). Work fine, but if in description field of the board has some accentuated word, the browser rejects to add the search engine.

the xml problem it in this line:

<Description>$vboptions[description]</Description>

If I create the xml manually and place in the forum folder how .xml the browser accept with no problem.

How to fix this my problem?

I thought about generating the xml with an external php using specific headers, but I would like to use the misc.php?do=page like the initial release of my plugin.
