What I need is a logger for PM's that allows Admins to actually be able to read the PM's that have been sent to members.

We have a help site that we will be converting to vB, with very sensitive topics, and we need to be able to check PM's.

This is available as an addon for IPB, which we currently use, and have said Addon. We simply log into teh ACP and theres an option to Check PM Log. I have searched this site looking for this, and havent found what we need.

Am I making sense?
Does anyone know if this exists already?

You might want to look at this (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=123166). I believe this is what you're looking for. ^^

I use it and it works like a dream.<3

Thank you for your prompt reply. I have seen that modification but it is not what I need for one reason. It only reads the PMs from the users PM boxes. It does not actually "log" anything. It is therefore succeptable to a nefarious user deleting the PM and administrators losing any record of the PM in question. What they need is a modification that takes the PM as it is sent, and stores it in a separate table simultaneously. And in the AdminCP there is a simple reader. Search by username and display all PM logs for that user (read, unread status, who it was CC'd to,ec...) and then just the admin interface options. i.e. the "checkmark box" at extreme right of every entry, a select all and then a "delete" button if I wish to delete one, three, or all.

This is rather important because it's a make or break deal for them converting to vBulletin. For their site logging is essential.

Moral concerns are outweighed by liability of user actions.
