Hey All,

I'm in the process of starting a local community and trying to find out what's best for me. The site should consist of a CMS + a forum. Now I've heard there are alot of CMS systems that can be integrated with Vbulletin ( or the other way around ), but what is actually the best?

I'm looking for:
- The possibility to make pages and all ( just like a normal cms )
- I should be able to use code inside these pages ( javascript,html/css,php )

I've heard about Vbulletin + VBAdvanced, would this be able to do what I wish for?

And would you know any other which could be good for me? Please let me know

Thanks alot!

That would work. There are also other alternatives to vBAdvanced, so make sure that you do your homework on them all before deciding which one to go with.

Would vbadvanced be good enough for a cms or is it limited to a set of features. I've also heard about VBDrupal... What would you choose?

vBAdvanced personally. And it is free, so doesn't hurt to try.

I know it's free and doesn't hurt to try but before I dive into it ( and learn the skinning and all ) I'd like to know what the odds are of a or b being better.

Is vb advanced good enough for like a whole site ( let's say it would be just the cms without any forum, would it then be good enough as a site? )

vbadvanced requires vB to run. It is not a standalone product
