Display Forum Header (user selectible)
By: Roms
Allow users to choose in 'options' if they would like to turn off the header/logo/top banner of your forum. This works on all styles, including the default.
Please remember to click Mark as Installed if you use this modification. (See Mod Options >)
If you use it please click INSTALL. Thanks :bunny:

Is the idea behind this for slow internet users or something else?
Thanks.

Many reasons, just one more choice for your users. Some users like things more simple, older computer, don't like waiting for the flash type headers.... etc.
Please click install if you use it.. :)

Would be really nice to see a switch to turn off the header on the front page.
Very nice all the same, definitely installed.

I have banners up the top thou so would it remove them too?
Think i'll decline on installing as my advertisers would go nuts LOL

Yes it would remove everything in that area, but you could put your banners above or below the modifications and they would always be visible... :)
Thanks

LOL, You should install a "panic button" on your site that opens a new window to a spread sheet type page. LOL
Thanks for installing. :)

I also modified it slightly to give users the additional option of hiding the What's Going On boxes.

That's great! Thanks for clicking install. :D
This is nice, I bet you could even limit it to usergroups.
Nice mod, looks beneficial in a bandwidth way and kinda makes me think you can use it for SEO purposes too.
Great!

I bookmarked this ages ago and finally got around to trying it. It works beautifully - and it's much easier than keeping two styles updated (the 'usable' style and the 'big fancy header' style.) Thanks!
Thanks, I appreciate it. :)
