What is vBonjour?
vBonjour is an alternative to vBAdvanced. It is an easy to install, modular portal system designed as a gateway to your site.

Why vBonjour?
This is pretty simple really. As the front page is the first thing that your visitors see, it is a welcome page. The first few names that were thought of were either very boring, or far too long winded and not at all catchy.

What is the Note Pad Add On?
The Note Pad Add On provides a small note pad on the vBonjour page which registered users can use for any purpose they desire. The note pad is not available to guests.

Installation instructions are included in the attached zip file.


Ok, so where are the screen shots?
Unlike the other Add Ons for vBonjour, this actually has one due to the fact that it is not installed on the live test site, and even if it was, it is just visible to members.

What versions of vBonjour does the Note Pad Add On work with?
This module is currently compatible with vBonjour version 1.0.1 and above

Why not just add this as a default feature in bonjour and have the ability to turn it on or off? Instead of 50 addons per week you could simply include it as an option in the bonjour addon and call it a new version. This also gives the opportunity to fix reported issues with the main package and the plugin page won't get filled with 50 additional .xmls

I was just testing it on a dev box to see how it worked, I think there was some sort of problem conflicting with a another form.

At the moment I am going to stay on CMPS as I have a lot of customized modules, but this is a nice feature that I would like to see available elsewhere.

I just installed this and when I tried to write something in the Note Pad it sent me directly to index.php (main forum page) and nothing was stored in the Note Pad.
Any ideas?

Hi, sorry for double posting, but I managed to fix mine and all I did was edit this line

<form action="index.php" name="notes" method="post">

I replaced index.php with the php files notpad is in, so I think you'd change it to portal.php or usercp.php whichever you've got it under, should fix your problem. ;)
