hey all,

when in the profile manager and creating a new custom field, i set it to 'required' yet im never forced to fill it out, even at registration. can somebody help me understand how i use the 'required' option to force people to fill out the custom field.

In your Field options
Make sure you have in

Field Required: Yes,At Registration and profile updating
or
Yes,Always

but how do i force everybody to fill it out? not just when they go to update their profile. i want every user to fill it out on the next time they login or try and post or do anything forum related, i know that 99% of these idiot users will never update their profiles unless they are forced to do it.

IF you set it so
Yes,Always
Then whenever they post they should see a screen that says "you have not filled out blah blah" and it will take them to edit profile to fill out the option.

well i set it to that and nobodys complained yet, so i guess once its filled it, its done. thanks for the help.

What do you mean by "Yes, Always"?

I do not find any Yes, Always option.
