Why do you hate my forum?

Well i don't hate your forum, but it is pretty simple looking.......you really need to change the forum icon's to something that may relate to your site, add a logo at the top of the page, and maybe get rid of that pumkin orange borders.

hehe... the title was just to get attention and to get people to click the thread... hehe.. but anyways, I wanted a simple but professional look on my forum... I think the forum is alot more userfriendly when I use the original vB look but only change the colors, ect.

I chose orange and red colors to give the forum a "warm" feeling...

Yes, icons will be changed but I am not very good with graphics so I will need to pay someone or something...

- the orange is too bright
- the blues don't match at all
- no header
- too simple (not much customization)
- the advertisements look more appealing than the actual site content
- i can't read any of it (not English)

Hmm.. thats wierd I dont think the orange is bright at all.. mabye we got different brightness, ect on our screen?

The reason I choose strong colors is because I always make boring grey on grey layouts and thought I'd try something new...

What color shuld I change? The red, orange or both?

its looks ok but there nothing really on your boards image wise that relates to your boards theme, if your looking for people to make you images try looking in the graphics section or PM me and i'll be happy to make you some if your want (donations welcome).

Thanks for the replies! Well like I said, I was looking for a simple/plain forum with a great user experience, and from personal experience I like vB forums thats not "overstyled"... But I added some custom new/old post images :)

If anyone have any suggestions on how to make little changes that will make my forum look better I would love to hear them :D

you asked for reviews that's what you got. I agree with SirAdrian..
No header, the colors are WAY too bright (hurts my eyes), and the lighter icons aren't even visible.

Truthfully the ads are more appealing than the forum itself, but I wouldn't stay long enough to click on any of them.

I'm not a fan or the purplish color you have selected I know you want plain or simple but this is way too simple ot the point where I as a use would probably run from a forum like that.... you need some thing that grabs attention BESIDES the ads on the side which take all the attention of the page

exactly my thoughts... there are MANY poker sites/forums. etc.. out there.. and how much different can you be in content? you need to have a visually appealling look too, as of now I am afraid to visit default styles.. I hire people to go to vb.com for me.. haha.
yes, that side banner completely takes attention from your forum.. your forums looks like the ad and the banner looks like the site content:D
