Sorry to ask such simple questions, but are a couple I need some help with:

1. I would like to add adsense code to my forum. Just where in the admin module can I do that?

2. I probably need to upgrade my bulletin to 3.6.4. Do I need to install the mod/patches on the last version first...or just jump to the latest? Do I gain a lot by installing the new version? Am I in any danger if I don't install the patches?

3. Last question. Is there some sort of convention/conference that's held where I could get some basic training on forums and vbulletin software? This site is great, but it would help me to attend a couple day presentation.

Thanks a bunch.

1. By default there is not an option in the Admin panel to do this... You can simply modify templates to add in code if desired. Header, footer, navbar as examples.

2. Upgrading to 3.6.4 will install necessary items from previous versions so you're good there. What do you gain by installing? Well for one, you patch up a security hole.

The discovery of a potential cross-site scripting (XSS) issue in the administrators control panel has necessitated the preventative release of vBulletin 3.6.4 Due to several mitigating factors, this issue is hard to exploit and careful browsing by the admins can prevent it entirely. Nonetheless, we strongly recommend that all of our customers upgrade or apply the patch as soon as possible.

Additionally, vBulletin 3.6.4 includes fixes for several non-security-related bugs. The patch and release information is available here (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=209717).

Also released today are vBulletin versions 3.5.7 and 3.0.17. View... (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=209717)

3. Honestly, have no idea on that one. :)
