Do you get a mysql error when that happens? Might be the same thing I am experiencing when I turn on saving all scores (I actually don't play the arcade much so I'm not to sure what's happening on the user side):

Sounds like I'm getting the same problems. If I set it to save only the top score no matter what it says that the score will not be saved.... but if it's your high score it DOES save it.... sometimes. If you didn't beat the high score the first time you played, it will not save any score after that, even if you beat your high score later.
If I enable to save ALL scores, I get tons of MySQL errors. They are all similar to the following:
