does this hack lock a thread after Xdays picked by post creator? for example: you start a new thread have a option somewhere that will allow you to put how many days you want the post to stay open?

Ziki can you make this to auto lock every thread that is created inside a specific forum?
I have some announcements in a certain forum from my members and i want them to be auto-locked when they click "submit".
(i know it's not request forum,i dont want to open a whole thread just for that)
Thanks!:D

Hm, I've installed this but all my old threads are still open. Is there a cron that I need to run or so?
No nothing.Just install and enter the threadid. Are you sure you didn't enter the post id?

Aah apologies. I was under the impression that this would globally just close old posts, not need specification. :D
Offtopic: What about an auto-lock if the thread rating gets below a certain point? I'd be willing to pay you to do this...
Just after x days
I'm no genius at coding but aren't you checking the time of the last post?
AND lastpost < ".intval(TIMENOW-(86400*$zhtime)
1.0.1 released
Please upgrade as soon as possible. The hack didn't work :D

sorry if this is a stupid question... on my boards i have daily topics and each one runs for a day so would this work to auto lock every post in a set board at midnight of the day it was started?
But you would have to enter the threadids manually

Strange hack... Installed but does nothing without putting in the thread id you want locked. So if you have 5000 threads you would have to find each thread id to make this work globally. Kind of pointless when you can lock the thread manually anyway. I though perhaps this may have prevented old threads being opened after x number of days..

Would it be possible to:
1. Make this happen for only one forum?
2. Automaticly add a reply to the thread?
1.Yes
2.Yes
Will do?Maybe

Installed! Stupid question: is the thread ID just the numbers or do you need the t= ?
(And, would it be possible to time them in hours instead of days? And if so, how much would that hack cost?)

Thanks ZH! :)

Okay, that didn't work, so I'm doing something wrong. I used the number of the thread, meaning the number that comes after t=
Is the thread ID something else?

I still can't get this to work, and I really really need it. I'm using the four-digit thread ID and the numeral 1 (for days) in my test thread - does anybody have any idea at all why it won't work?
