Maybe someone can help me, i have searched and tried a lot of things, but on one board i can't ip ban people. When i go to my adminpanel and go to vbulletin options and put there the ip i want to ban, then the ban will be saved (in the menu) but it doesnt work. The people with the ipban can still access the forum. On my other forumboard this function works perfectly, but on the other not.
Someone knows how this can happen and how i can solve this?

Are you sure the IP address of the users are not changing? I had serious problems with a couple AOL users so I spent the better part of a couple months fighting wit banning IP addresses which turned into writing a script that let me just lock all AOL guests ut of my site.
Look at some of the hacks I posted for 3.6 including IP_NoRegister, IP_NoPost and IP_NoView.

It fixed my issues and I use that combined with a couple of the various multiple account detectors listed here on vborg.
The best answer depends on the problem you are having....

whats your vB version?
I'll take a screenie of a functional IP Ban on the same version and then you can compare, but I need to know what version we are looking at first.

No it was a static IP adress, i also put my ip adress in it, and i also can still access the forum. Also as visitor. I know a lot of vbulletin, but i can not figure why the bantool is not working, on my other boards there are no problems, when i put the ip, emailadress of host in the box, the people are banned, but on this board it doesnt work.
When i look in my MYSQL the ip is in the bantable.... Strange
thanks for the link mate, i will look at that, maybe it will be handy for me.

I know that, on my other boards it works perfect. But on that board, the member can still access the forum. When i go to my other vbulletinforums and i go to my banningoption and i'll put an ip adress in it and save it, then the person is banned. I tried also with my ipadress, and i couldnt also access the forum, i had to remove it from my MYSQL to go on my forum again. But when i do that to my other board, nothing happens. The person can still acess the forum (until he has a nickban, but he can make a new account, and i have no time to go moderate all users.)
Strange... I run for a few years vbulletin, this is the first board i have problems with this.
Maybe i do a reinstall and then i'll put back the topics, users and forums. Maybe then it will be solved, but i thought maybe there is a easyer way.
thanks for thinking and helping me.
