Updated the Christmas style to vB 3.6.8...

the style comes in 2 sizes fixed and fluid, i customised 90% of the default images to view demo:

Xmas fixed (http://www.forum-lance.com/index.php?styleid=53)

Xmas fluid (http://www.forum-lance.com/index.php?styleid=52)

Psd file for the logo and buttons attached along the zip and full free help/support for this style is available at www.minerskinz.com


How do I install the Style?

1. Extract the zip files to a folder on your computer.
2. Upload the image folder "xmass" to your forums> images>styles> directory (ex: forum/images/styles/xmass).
3. Login to your Admincp in your vBulletin Forum and Click on "Style & Templates" to expand the menu.
4. In the expanded menu click on "Download / Upload Styles" , a new page will load.
5. In the new page look for: "Import Style XML File" click on browse and point it to the .xml file that you want to install
6. Press IMPORT to complete the installation

Note: If you dont have an Style folder in your images directory, create new folder named 'styles'

So I can actually change the postbit to a normal postbit without the different sections being boxed round without messing up the template am I correct?

What do I do just copy and paste a posbit legacy from another template I have and paste it into the postbit legacy for the christmas template?

I made the christmas style as a parent style to the default.
When i revert the postbit, it went back to my default style.
Whit all the adjustments i had done to the default.

I love this style but there are minor things which I hope you can help me with. For the forum names on the homepage, they arent underlined, as well as everything else that is supposed to be underlined like usernames and stuff like that. I looked through style options, but couldnt find what I needed to fix. T_T Also whenever I view a post that has been deleted, there is no way to make it disappear until you refresh the page. I dunno, thats jut a little thing that I can figure out for myself. Just the whole underline thing is bugging me. Thanks for any help. ^_^

I found the best way to manage user names is to use CSS...

In the markup opening tag enter (enter the appropriate name for each user group adminmarkup, supermodmarkup, modmarkup, etc....)

In the closing tag enter

Then in your the style you would like it to display in, goto the main CSS and scroll down to "Additional CSS Definitions" and at the end enter
(remember to enter markup for each user group)

Now you can control the color, font, and underline

If you just want the underline just enter

Yes copy the entire coding from your postbit legacy and paste it in xmas style, it will work fine...

Great Skin as usual. But i experienced some issues on my Home Page. The Home Page modules arent collpasible. There is nothing to tick to collapse a module. I experienced similar issues in the 2006 version. Can anyone provide any hints on how to resolve this (vb 3.6.7)

The problem is the forum home page is customised in this design and it will not display correctly for those who have not specified their forums under a category...

check your forum settings in forum & management and see all your forums are specified under a category, this will solve your problem...

I already provided you the same solution at my forums and here it goes...

goto> admincp> forums & Moderators>Forum Manager> for each forums select the> edit forum options> check the 5th Parent Forum> see if it is specified under a category if not select the category and hit the save button...

do the above for all your forums you have if everything is specified under a category i am sure this problem will not arise or its out of my knowledge maybe some hack is interfere it...

Well all of them are setup the same way as stated and as the one that appears correctly. If I change the display order to 1 on any of them i can get it to appear correctly just moves the rest down the page. An I'm not sure how one can be fine and not the others, nor that a hack would be the cause as one is fine and the rest are setup exactly the same but won't display correctly.
