Hi Guys,

I wish to have a website which has many sections and a forum. The sections
can be custom html or php pages using a database at the backend. The
authentication used in the forum should be valid across the website
For example some sections will be available to only moderators etc.

The site structure will be something like

sitename/section1/
sitename/section2/
sitename/forum/

Section 1 might display information from a database table and have a form to insert/update the database.

I want the pages to be using vbulletin template and login system. I have got an article on How to make custom pages.

My question is can i achieve the same functionality using vbAdvanced or VbDrupal? What are they used for?

I hope my question is clear.

Thanks

VbAdvanced = It allows you to easily include different elements from your vBulletin message board on your web site's homepage. It also allows you to easily create and manage new pages in which you can set different settings other than the default. It's module system also makes it very easy to add custom modules without hacking any of the files, plus it is very easy to integrate with other vBulletin pages and hacks.

VB Drupal = One userbase for Vbulletin forums + Drupal content management System

Depending upon your needs you can select a suitable option.
If you are going to provide basic information on additional pages, I would recommend using Custom Pages Addon by princeton.
