A teacher hoping to provide a forum for students, help!

Hello,
I am a teacher at SWC and I have a website (~ accounts) using the college server. (www.swccd.edu/~dalonso)
If I buy a license, Can I connect the forum to my school website?
Does that need special permission from the college or is it just a link?

I have about 100 students each semester, prices depend on number of users.
Is there an educational discount?

I would not even know wher to start setting this up, do you have on line tutoring videos or information?
