View Full Version : HackSort = vBVersion?

Before the upgrade, the default sort was by vbversion. Now it is by release date. In my opinion, this is very impractical because the release date does not ever change and the vbversion does. Therefore, descending vbversion is the best way to sort hacks (at least, by default). Please thanks.

Nothing has changed on the member profile page, the default has always been by release date.

Hmm... Can you change it to be sorted by vbversion then by title?

Just click on the appropiate option if you want to sort a different way, no need to change anything.

I'm saying that it would be nice if hacksort=vbversion would be the one sort loaded by default. :)

That's weird. I remember that it always used to sort by vB version too. Oh well.

Well at least that's a sign that I am not losing my mind. :)

Maybe it was once, but then it wasn't. :S

I remember very clearly that it sorted by vB version by default because when I updated all of my hacks to the newer versions, it would always put the highest version at the top. It doesn't bother me, but I do remember it doing that.

Lets just be very clear here - it does not, and never has, sorted by anything other than releasedate (by default). I have the code (that Xenon wrote) in front of me, it's never changed. The only way it could do anything else is if you had the sort order in the initial url (like if you used a shortcut or link in someones profile).

Hmm, maybe i can clear this things up.

at the very first days of vb3 the sections vb2 and vb3 were not seperated, during these days it was sorted by vbversion, to make it easier to find hacks for your vbversion, but since the day there were different sections for vb2, vb3 templates... they have always been sorted by releasedate
