Anyone ever thought of creating a text messaging system...?
This would be a great add on feature! People waiting for answers on forums could be sent a text message via the website. or dont see a friend on when you pm them they get a text message!
Think this is possible?????? :D

I have a custom written SMS system for vBulletin board which was created for me. This system is for sale from the site owner extremely cheaply, and allows your forum members to send a number of SMS messages per day (based upon their forum reps).
An example of this script is found on my site, RadioRemix (http://www.radioremix.co.uk) (register to see it working)
If you want to contact the script creator, visit Habbar (http://www.habbar.co.uk) and contact him via his contact form.
The contact form can be found under the pink Other link.

Here is a little more info
Thank you for contacting me regarding my SMS scripts. Indeed, i have developed a SMS gateway with add-on scripts to integrate it into vBulletin board. The example displayed on RadioRemix was the first installation of my script, and it seems to be running extremely efficiently.
I have 2 prices for the script itself. If you wish to display a \'powered by HabbarSMS\' logo beneath the SMS script, i charge just ?13. If you wish to not display this logo, the charge is ?20 instead.
If i also explain a little about how the system works, it may also help make up your mind whether you wish to purchase the script or not.
As my system uses private SMS carriers, every message sent costs. Sent messages may be customised so that they are sent from YOUR SITE NAME (within the uk only).
The way my site is set up, all SMS systems work on a \'pre-pay\' credits scheme, whereby site owners purchase \'credits\' in advance to use the system. If you purchase the system from myself, you will be given 50 sms credits to start with (enough to send 50 sms messages to mobile phones in nearly 200 countries). Everytime a user sends an SMS from your site/forum, it deducts 1 credit from your account on my site.
You may topup your credit balance from my site at any time using my automated payments system (integrated with paypal). It currently costs ?15 for 230 SMS credits (roughly 6.5p each).
Upon purchasing this script, you will be shown fully how to integrate the sms script into your forum, and given additional examples demonstating how to send SMS messages from your website.
At present, the example displayed on RadioRemix was just designed to give users a daily allowance depending upon their forum rep points. Obviously, as it is up to the site owner to purchase SMS credits in advanced, this would run into a loss for the site owner. A better idea would be to slightly modify the script, so that it was only accesible to paying forum VIP members etc. This can be arranged for you if you are interested in the script.
