Doesn't bother me. Can be on or off as far as I am concerned.

I also don't like at very much. It just makes the showthread look more cluttered (and probably asks some more space in the database).

It's necessary if you grab posts rather than threads via external.php. Otherwise...meh.

It doesn't bother me either, but I don't know how/why it got turned on. It's turned back off now.

That's why I asked. There is no any other issue with it. :)
