sms & VB - Have I just made this up?

Now i'm not sure if i've just invented this in my head or wheather it actually exists.

Is there something that could pick and send a random image or movie from my forum to members mobile phones?

Or may be some kind of sms client that members could use?

Ideally this would be free or very cheap.

great , 1st one will wait this great feature but you should give a gateway for sms by clickatell or any other sms gateway
or make your one and make it fore sale sms by your gateway and then u will get alot of $$
