I'm going fro 3.5.4 to 3.6.3 today. Been at it since 7:00 this morning making a big to-do list. I don't have as my mods as Bashy, but I do have a LOT of mods that need updating.

Make a heck of a lot of back ups of both the DB and source at various stages AND label the darn things!
I created several folders:
www.original
www.061106.1400
www.061106.1450
www.061106.1500
www.current
I also took a notepad where I knew which folder had what changes in it....
Good luck.

I think I'm done! :D
Problem is, my footer says:
Powered by vBulletin Version 3.6.0 Beta 3
And everything else (adminCP, config.php, etc) says 3.6.3. What'd I miss?

Point your webserver to install/finalupgrade.php
if that fails:
Enable debug mode > go to settings > UNtouchables > vbulletin version

finalupgrade.php did the trick - thanks Ziki. :)
* Guest210212002 dances off to happily upgrade his vB version in his profile, finally. :D
