Dream's Chatbox

Seems like a basic modification but I like it. However how do I make the Chatbox appear on the top in the main forum homepage?

At the moment its appearing on the bottom.

I am not able to get the date to display when a msg is posted. The time shows up, but no date.

How can I correct this issue?

I have the Chatbox in admincp with only 1 option (Delete Messages)
I have 3 Product Plugin ( Chatbox - WOL Support online_location_process,
Chatbox - WOL Support online_location_unknown and Create $chatboxheight forumhome_start )

Now marked as uninstalled as I have upgraded to vB 3.7 and have installed to 3.7 version of this instead.

Note to anyone upgrading to 3.7, you MUST upgrade the chatbox as the 3.6 version is totally incompatible with 3.7. Dream's done a new version in the 3.7 mods section.

I have installed this and it is working good, but I have a couple questions.

How do i set these items up?

- Who's Online Support
- User names linked and colored with their user group colors

Also is there a way to space out the messages a bit. Once people get posting message it starts to look a little bit like a cluttered mess and is hard to read. If I could just space the posts a cenameter or two it would be easier to read everyones messages.

Dream Thank you for the chatbox. IT RULES! took me a while to find the main forum folder(for people who dont know where it is its in public_html then double click admincp then paste the chatbox.php file)But in the end i found it. All my members love it!

Though, there is no smilie box nor the setting to change font color and size.

Also, I only have one option in the AdminCP Chatbox menu: "Delete Messages". No other options.

Figured it out. Other options are accessed under vBulletin Options > Chatbox Options menu. :)

I have problems with the option Auto Parse URLs?
The option Allow BBCode? is also on.
When i put some link adres in the chatbox then the autom. Parse works fine.
But after 1 a 2 minutes you can not click on this link anymore.
The chatbox put also the tag [url] ..[ /url] before and after this link so you will see this [url]Http://some-name.nl[/ url] and the link are not clickable anymore ??
Can i do something that this will work fine ??

sorry it seems to be a problem with that option. I'm not developing this mod anymore, but it can be easily changed in chatbox.php.

The link is wrong. It just links you back to the "forum/#". It should say "/forum/chatbox.php" or something to the like.

Is there a way to have it show up on the home page and one specific thread or board?

The instructions for it to show on the home page are included in the zip file.

For the chatbox to show on a thread or a particular forum, you would need template conditionals, but I'm not sure which ones you would need. You can try to ask for help on this forum (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=111).

Did anyone figure out how to show the chatbox on a particular forum? I couldn't find in anyone asked about it in the forum that Dream linked to.

I've been using your chatbox and it works great.
However i faced one problem , hope you can tell me what's wrong.
I want to diable "chatbox" time to time , so i log in to my cp and disable the chatbox however the chatbox still remains open in my forum.
I can not control on/off for the chatbox, how can i fix this????

3. deleted cpnav_chatbox.xml from includes/xml folder
4. uninstalled the chatbox product

Ok here is the situation. I had Dream's chatbox install on my forum before. Something went wrong where it stopped working. So I started to move things around and I can't get the chatbox to work. I uninstalled it and re installed it and still no go. So what am I doing wrong? or am I missing a file to make i work?

It shows fine on my forum. Installation was a breeze but when it comes to sending a post it doesn't do anything. To see what I mean go to here:
