vb user authentication on non-vb page.

I have functionality on a non-vb page that I want to offer to registered forum members. Does anyone know the location of a hack, mod, or code snippet I can add to a non-vb page and to authenticate users.

I had a code snipped for vb 3.0, but since upgrading to vb 3.6.2 it does not work.

Ideally I'll also be able to access user profile data and PM box.

Any guidance is appreciated.
