If you could choose, which one would you take and why?

I use Knownhost for all my VPS needs.
Here is a reply from KnownHost on the subject on Webhostforums.com
ForumBV,
Have you ever administered a server for VPS's? There is a reason why Virtuozzo is the most popular and covers 80%+ of the hosting market. It is proven and allows the provider to make money when used properly. Virtuozzo is just the underlying architecture to allow a Provider to sell VPS's. Diversity comes in how it is sold but of course just like with every other hosting segment people offer the same thing. It comes down to support on how/when a company seperates itself.
Openvps I think you meant Openvz.
Vserver is ages behind Virtuozzo so not a wise choice or you can't really compete
Xen is a neat technology but still is missing things Virtuozzo provides. In time it could become popular but Virtuozzo is ahead in the game. I foresee Openvz competing with Xen rather then it competing with Virtuozzo. The management tools Virtuozzo gives the provider and end user is solid and cuts back on support loads which in turn allows the company to make profits.
Yes, we are from the US and all Sales/Support is as well. We have used all these technologies and hands down selected Virtuozzo.
Have a nice day.

I suggest anyone (and I do mean anyone) thinking about VPS, should really spend some time talking with KnownHost's techs.
It's free and they are great techs and won't give you any B.S. as they only deal with the tech side of things, not sales.
