View Full Version : 35 search engine crawlers at once?

Is it common to have 35 individual crawlers on your VB forum? They all resolve to inktomisearch.com, which I believe is Yahoo, each with a different IP starting in "74.xx...." so essentially I have 35 extra "visitors" displayed right now.

I've done a couple of other forums and havent experienced this, just wondering if this was normal or not.

Also, if there's a situation in which my site is hacked or otherwise doesn't load, is there a way I can get into the AdminCP to take care of it?

I had 138 Yahoo bots in my last swarm.

Ok then, thanks. I'm used to seeing 3 or 4 visitors online (new site) so I got worried when I saw 35 search engine crawlers on there lol...well at least now I have a "most users ever online" stat haha

We usually have a few hundred at any one time.

Keep in mind that dial up users have many IP.

My friend use AOL and show me 40 IP of his.
