Hi,
Is it possible to track registrations affiliate style so I can work with an affiliate network and reward people for registering?
Cheers.

you talking about where they're coming from or to WHOM referred the referrer. cuz by default, every user has a referral ID

I think it would need to track somehow differently to a referral user id as the people sending the referrals will not have a forum account.

The way I've done this in the past is to have a dropdown single selection menu profile field which is required at registration with no default set. Then in the list put all the different places where they could be coming from. Also, you can make use of the "Allow users to input own value" for anything that is not on the list.

I think it would have to be some sort of automatic id, sort of in the same way as the referrals work at the moment.
Although to work with 3rd party affiliate networks, e.g. tradedoubler, etc presumably the incoming person is directed to the forum through a link which identifies the affiliate. The affilaite would not be a user of the forums. I would need, however, to be able to link a registration to this incoming link.
Is this at all possible?

It's possible of course, but only by writing some custom code.
