Remove user group from online areas?

I have looked and I don't know if I had the wording wrong or what, but I didn't find what I was looking for.
I would like to remover our "banned" user group from showing up in whos on line and users visited today so that it takes attention off of them. Banned seems to be a concept they do not understand and we would like to stop drawing attention to them.
