SWITCHBOARD FORUM
Admin option to create Switchboard notification forum.
Value? To notify specialist moderator on a forum of a post relevant to their knowledge/ role, rather than notifying a list of all moderators, as now.
Would cut the number of small forums I need by 90% !!!!
Existing admin option to add (other) moderator/s to always be notified by email to remain.
1. CP function: “Create new forum,” continues to allow insertion of emails to be notified.
2. Addition of another similar section: this notifies only ONE email.
3. Admin can insert up to six (?) of these single selection moderator emails - as OR alternates.
4. Each email inserted has its label textbox for admin to add moderator’s username.
5. “Create new post” form displays new section with selectable list of moderators
( list of up to six (?) set at 3, displayed as in 4).
6. User selects ONE from list (by radio button?).
7. Post notifies this ONE selected moderator by instant email just like existing moderator notifier email.
My personal interest would mean
IF Switchboard plugin set up by admin at CP “Create new forum”
User MUST select a moderator from the list in order to send message to this subforum - therefore error message if no selection
(there may be other emails set by admin in the existing notification function as now, as well).
Other admins with different needs to mine, might prefer the Switchboard notification as a user option, not a requirement.
