View Full Version : Just upgraded from 3.5.4 to 3.6.2 - how can i make my style to fit to 3.6.2?

my style doesn't fit well on the new system, its been upgraded to 3.6.2 and alot of thing aren't working like they shuold be working.

what should i do? can i fix it? it took alot of time to built this style..

you should have read the changes made to the new version. there's no way but find a skin that fit the version or find someone to customize it for you..there's been lots of changes form 3.5.4..good luck

I know you're gonna kick yourself in the ass but.... yeah.. you'll have to revert ALL the templates and re-code it all over again.

I spent a lot of my free time making a mobile skin for my site so that I can access it thru my blackberry without getting "page too big" or extreme long load time. It was working mint on 3.0.7 but then I upgraded to the 3.6 and had to re-do everything what I had customized again. Upgrades suck but worth it in the end.

Use a text diff tool between your edited template and the 3.62 MASTER STYLE template (for each customized template) and merge your edits into the new template. Be sure to save it back as a customized template and not overwrite the master copy.

I beleive vBulletin has a built-in template diff tool, but of course desktop apps are more powerful.
