Hi Everyone,

I have some people's post on my message board moderated and someone has posted a moderated message and I can't delete it in the Admin CP. Could someone tell me where the messages are stored, or a way to delete this message?

Thank you in Advance!

Jaime

You mean annoucement message created by Moderator?

I'm talking about a message posted on the board from a user that is moderated. I can't validate, ignore, or delete the message. It's stuck in the moderation query. I've tried to delete it on different computers and still nothing. When I click on delete the screen refreshes like it's deleting it, but then it's still there.

Is there a way I can manually delete the message?

Thanks

Jaime

I'd rather not post the URL here, it's one of my friend's website that I work on. You couldn't figure anything out by looking at the website anyway, it's in the Admin CP that the message is stuck. Do you know where moderated messages go to be validated? What file their in, or whatever?

Thanks

Jaime

Listen to the keyword members "Moderated." That means he/she has the right to post an annoucement and this can ONLY be deleted when you go to their section they are moderating and remove their "annoucements." (ACP) However, if they set a date where it expire, than that message will be gone.

Check the annoucement history...

This is a message, not an announcement and it is posted by a regular member that is in moderated status. They posted a message and I can't do anything with it. I can approve, or delete all other messages in the moderated section.

Thanks

Have you modify the board with any plugin, hacks? If no, please run http://mysite.com/forum/install/finalupgrade.php

I have Vbulletin 3.5.0 and no I can't view the message on the forum itself. It's a message that won't be posted till I approve it and I can't do that, or delete it.

Thanks

Jaime

No I have not modified the board with any plugin's, or hacks. What will running that URL do?

Thanks

What does that do, put everything back to like it was when it was first installed? What about the messages on the board?

Thanks

Like a fresh start, however, u won't lose anything. The finalupgrade.php will see any string mess up or any files you or ur friend have alter. No one has ever had an issue about "deleting a moderator message" without a plugin or hack install on their forums.

If any files have been altered it will put them back to the way they were when it was first installed?

Let say i decided to alter my index.php and forgot that i edit it. Couple days later, my forum goes down because that modification done to the index.php isn't working proper.

Don't know what to do.

1)I can restart the community by doing this

http://mysite.com/forum/install/install.php (DON'T DO IT; EXAMPLE ONLY)

or

http://mysite.com/forum/install/finalupgrade (Fixes my modification done to my "index.php") - A good choice

Will this delete anything that my member posted? Nope, it'll fixs any modifcation done. Who ever ur admin, he/she has the rights to edit anything in the ACP, as long as they have almost all permission
