I am currently running vB 3.6.0 and would like to upgrade to v.3.6.2

My question is what is the safe way to do this? This is the first time I have upgraded with installed and I want to make sure I am not going to create any issues. I have made a full mysql and data backup so that is all set.

I am running the Logican Webtemplates Hack, e-skeki referral hack, Menu Control Hack, v3arcade and vbadvanced cms.

I know in the vB upgrade instructions it says to revert certain templates, but I am not sure if I do this by hand of if it does it automatically and if I can do it by hand if I have to even though I have these hacks installed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have always ran a stock vb board before and never done an upgrade with hacks so I just want to see if there is anything I should look out for.

You should not be worried. It was very simple for me.

Here is what I did.

MAKE BACKUP.
Disable products.
Upload file.
Run Script.
Revert templates and fix them.
Reenable products one by one.

That was what I did. When going from 3.6.1 to 3.6.2 I didn't even disable my hacks, and everything worked fine right from the get-go. No need to worry as upgrading has been made really easy.

Do da420 steps. However, if you have skins (paid or free ones) you will need to remodify them. If the author upgraded it to the lastest version, you'll need to do all the hacks template modification once again. You won't lose any hack you have install, just make sure they will work for 3.6.x above

I have upgraded my forum couple of time and nothing happen. Just template modification is the issue (unless there is none to revert). DO NOT REVERT SKIN!!!!
You will need to modify them ur self!!!

Thanks guys, when you say revert them yourself you mean find out what code changed in each template and manually change it?

Revert the template, Then do your old changes you have in your past to the new one.

Manually, if you revert it automatic. Anything that was done in the template will be gone. And than you'll have to remodify them again.
