I know a number of posters often ask how to integrate their vB system with other parts of their site.
We have had a fully integrated website linked to the vBulletin membership system for some time now - i.e. if your not a member you can't access certain pages.
Recently we added a secondary membership level option for a private members forum which takes this a bit further by allowing the user to register full personal details and have the system automatically "upgrade" them to the next membership level. We're about to take this further by implementing a full subscription-paid premium service using a secure payment system within the next few weeks.
If anyone is interested in the various bits of code that allowed us to do this, please email me at admin@unquoted.co.uk and we'll get the programmer to package it up into something reasonably generic.
The website can be viewed at http://www.unquoted.co.uk - it is a financial news service that covers the UK's "third" stock market - OFEX which allows share trading in unquoted and unlisted companies. If nothing else you might get some tips on some companies that could be the next Microsoft :)
