Hi,

we're currently running vb 3.6.1.

I was thinking about upgrading to 3.6.2 for 'vital bug fixes' - for a minor update will it just update a few files involved or does it replace the icon images, config.php and whatnot back to the defaults again?

Is it worth it or shall I just wait for the next major release. We have a heavily customised forum.

For file and template changes, please see the vB 3.6.2 release announcement: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=203417 and for upgrade instructions, please see http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/upgrade. Quoting Kier...
Although this is not a security-driven release, it does nonetheless contain resolutions for several important bugs and we would recommend that all customers upgrade to 3.6.2 at their earliest convenience.
There's no need to overwrite the config file, so download 'Package - no Images' if you don't want/need the images, but ultimately, the choice to upgrade is solely up to you.
