how do i stop new posts from a specific forum?

How can i stop new posts or threads not to show when you click up on the navbar NEW POSTS from a specific forum could anyone let me know please as ive tried to make this work editing the forum permissions but it does not work.

I believe the only way to do that is to make the forum private....

what do u mean by making a forum private??? I want that the users can have access on this forum for writing and opening threads but i do not want that this threads to be shown on the new posts or new threads section anyone knows how to resolve this issue please ???/

edit navbar template like this :D:D (X,Y,Z is your Forum IDs)
