How hard would it be to pull an RSS feed then extract the full feed into a new thread automatically? I know the whole point is to just get a brief description of the news article but it would be nice to be able to pull the whole article into a new thread rather than just the description. I have heard of some places now offering full RSS feeds but then you either have to pay a fee or get stuck with advertising all on the feeds.

Any ideas???

what's provided in the RSS feed is up to the supplier. if they only provide a snipet, then that's all you can get. if they provide the whole article, then your RSS will be the whole article.

Aye, but if the script were written properly one could have the script follow the given link to the news article itself and extract the relevant information such as a one page spidering engine.

Just a thought.

Any ideas??? Well thats the whole point of rss, they give you a little hoping you will visit the originating site to view the complete article, as you say you can buy the full content or get stuck with the advertising, one way or another it is a source of revenue or advertising ;)
