What this does?

This gives your bot access to the centralized training database that I have created. I will be adding new training feeds all the time so keep an eye on what feeds are available. ;)

How do I teach the bot things?

Register on http://www.extremewebtech.com/forums/

After your registered goto this forum: http://extremewebtech.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=17

Post in the learning threads. Post format is as follows

Post title: This is the text that the will trigger a response from the bot.

Post body/message: This is the message that the bot will post.

I am manually approving all new entries into the system for now to avoid abuse. So if im not around it might take a while before you see your posts moved over to the learned thread.

No bot will learn anything not in the learned threads. So if you dont see your post in the learned thread it just means I have verified it and confirmed its validity with my bot yet.

This system supports all version of the talkerbot that I have released.

Support Will Be Given: Here (http://extremewebtech.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=8)
Im sure a good deal of you will need help with this hack to get a grasp of how it works so please take all support issues to my site where I can organize them and create references from them to better help people and keep things organized.

preferred the old botlearner method of individual training within our own database .. is that a possibility !?

I have to agree with ttg............don't get me wrong, i totally appreciate all the time and effort you put into this mod, but my member's use alot of profanity.....99% of site's don't allow such liberal speech as i do.

And i would also fear someone being able to find a socket open and hack my site again......I just spent the better part of a month rebuilding since my site was hacked.

My goal is to create a centralized traing center where we can all benifit from each others hard work. We can create and add new feed genres as often as we want. We can create feeds of all natures. There are no limits to the types of feeds I am willing to create for everybody. The sky is the limit.

This is also a more secure system and is hack proof unlike the other one.

Nice work eXtremeTim. Do you have any plans to port to 3.5.x?

This hack works with all version of the talkerbot that I have ever released.

So the bot will only learn those phrase's or word's that are moved into your database?

eXtremeTim

Yes I have to approve them as an added layer of security.

what if we have to reset the bot. the older version of the teaching system created a "learned" thread in case this happened. Is there a teaching hack like that one for the newest version of talkerbot?

what if we have to reset the bot.you will basically be stuck......at this point, when you run the extremewebtech leaned.xml, you bot is gonna learn what i have taught it too......You bot is gonna know alot of profanity, and smart a** answers......

If you don't like profanity, i wouldn't use the extreme antic's upload for you database.

Would be nice to have either/or for our database's......with the botlearner file that is on this site, there is a file in there for making changes to your external.php file, which would teach your bot information, just for your site. i have been trying for almost a week to get the php file to work like it did in 3.0, but i just don't know enough about the new php language. I think i am getting close though, I finally am not recieving error page's, just a blank page. I think it is just a matter of time and i will get it figured out. .....then you could use extremetims if you want your bot to have alot more knowledge information.
My bot isn't for having a serious conversation, it is just for having fun and teasing....If you would like to see an example of what your bot is going to learn, via antics, check check this out (this out)

I sure hope someone else may be able to look at the php code and figure it out, it is kind of frustrating. I mean, the code is right there on the main section of this thread (thread) it is just a matter of writting it to the new 3.6 style of php.......Or better yet, tim da man, releases the option to us.......dat would be da sh*t.
Don't get me wrong at all, i think that tim has done an awesome job, i was just wanting to make my bot fit my site, not have a huge knowledge of everything that everybody else wanted to learn and i am sure after talking with a few other people, they don't want there bot to learn my example of certain human anatomy parts, as i have them described......hehehee

I already said about 4 days ago I was going to release my code for it soon. ;) Which I already did today. ;)

P.S. that white page is caused by the external.php cache query that exits out the file is a cache is found.
