Adding avatar and a few links to the header template

Take a look at http://www.swiftdev.com. On the main page i'm using a CMS called Sub Dreamer. All the CMS pages have the users avatar (if they have one) and a few other links below.
Now take a look at http://www.swiftdev.com/vb/. I would like it to look similar to the main page if possible. I attached a screen shot of what I am trying to accomplish.
I did try editing a welcome panel template by adding some of the information from that to the header template but with no luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
