vbSHout alternatives?

I keep reading that vbShout is too server intensive.

anyone know any good NOT server intensive shout mods out there for 3.6.0Gold?

I wanna keep a shout, but don't want to unnessarily kill the server.

You know I thought it was but really it hasnt been that much of a worry. The Topxstats plugin used 10x more resources than the shout ever has.

from what I read...that one isn't updated to deal with server load. just patch a security issue.

I believe 2.1 performs better and reduces database load, by storing files in a flatfile format instead of into the mysql db

vbhackers.com. it has issues, but it better than 2.0 in terms of server load due to the flat file.
