Link in thread open in (_self)

Is it possible to make a http link in a thread to open in (_self) and not a new browser window?

A perfect example of what I don't want is this:

Perhaps try a replacement variable if you want to avoid the file edit:

Search for Text: target="_blank"
Replace with Text: target="_self"
