Excluding mine for a minute, I like the welcome headers - but that won last month - so I would have gone for DownloadsII.

Wasn't welcome headers in last month?
Yes, but this is the 3.6 version and the last one was the 3.5.

I voted for Downloads II. Very useful addon! westpointer and Jelle provide very good support for it too.

IMO there should be a rule so previous month's winner can't compete in this month's MoTM.

Well people nominated these modifications, since it's not based on install count anymore, I really don't think that rule should be applied.

The only difference between most 3.5x and 3.6x mods is the install.xml. You shouldn't even have to mod forums let alone let them win twice. It's just silly nonsense.

Most likely.
I think even the mod makers themselves wouldn't want their mod to be MoTM two months in a row, because there are other good mods out there too that deserve to become MoTM.
PS: I have nothing against Welcome Headers. It's a very useful mod and well deserved last month's MoTM win.

That's what you say..
But I guess you're wrong on that IMHO.

Well said. Of course it does depend on the mod. In the case of welcome headers there is only a few lines of different code and the functionality is pretty much identical but this may not be the case with other plugins that are fundamentally different between versions.

Welcome Headers likely has a much larger user base than other mods on the list, since it's a general purpose mod and useful for most forums. It's mods like this that should become a standard feature of vBulletin (with on/off toggle option).

Well said HappyPike :)
As per other hacks this month: DownloadsII and ImageHosting, I prefer a stand alone library instead.
Also vBulletin has rating systems for both users and posts of better use than the PostThankYou hack.
This will leave "MiserableUsers" alone infront of the last month's winner.

Ya, the first 3 are definately great. I like the concept behind welcome headers, and im sure they have helped me get new registrations :)
Miserable users.. I think its hillarious but Ive never actually used it in a practical way.. nobody has acted up enough to get themselves demoted to miserable lol.
Have you tried the photo hack oz_moses? I personally haven't used downloadsII or the thank-you hack yet.
