Okay, well I've successfully edited the announcement template on a 3.5 vB. But I was working on a 3.6 version and I changed everything, and nothing actually changed in the forum. Did a search for any of the code that is currently there in my templates and apparently it doesn't exist. So I assume it has something to do with template caching. Is there a way to clear the cache, or something? I'm not quite experienced with template cacheing.

Not sure what you mean by template caching... but I've edited my 3.6.0 Announcement Templates without any problems.

Nevermind... I don't know what I'm talking about lol... here, I'll use images to explain.
The first one is what the forum currently looks like -- which is NOT what I want.
The second is the correct one. The twist is that they are both using the same code for the template. But the first one doesn't show the same thing as the second picture. [Getting confused yet?]

Well... yeah, I guess I am getting confused. If you're adding the same code between the two forums, it should show up fine. But... alas, it doesn't.

Yeah, that's my problem.
Okay, new thing. The templates are ALL inheriting the MASTER TEMPLATE style, but when I go to them they show the first picture one.
But when I view the MASTER TEMPLATE style, it shows the correct thing. Wtf? 3.6 bug?

Have you edited each of your other templates with the change - because the changes aren't carried over from the master template.

No, but if I would try to go and edit it, it shows the code is already there! So there really is no point to even do that. *sigh* Frustrating.
Okay, I also tried to add just a . in one of the child styles to see if it only accepts the customized templates, and that still didn't work. I think it's a bug in 3.6...

I've never had any problems -- so I doubt it; but you could post it in the vB.com Bug Center.

I appreciate your help, acid, but is there anyone that has any idea of why this may be happening?

If you set up a temp. admin account, I'd be happy to take a look.

I'm not the owner of the site so I can't really do that, and no offense to you but I wouldn't feel comfortable allowing someone we don't know into Admin CP.
Anyways... I'm very confused over this. :(
