I know how to ban people, but this control panel (v 3.5.4) doesn't seem to have the capability, unless I am missing something. I am currently being plagued by spammers.

Also, is there a way to verify id's that can at the very least filter out spam bots?

One post up is the way to ban IP addresses. You can have e-mail verification and use the image verification. I haven't had even one spam bot. This will stop them for you as well...

SPAMMERS!!!! SHOOT THEM ALL I SAY!!!!! I have been plagued but I have enabled the email verification and it's calmed down now. When I do the user list there is an address that is constantly connected as a Guest. Don't know what that's all about and if someone can educate me here.

This has been happening a lot on my site. It's some porno gambling site, they ALWAYS use the email domain @iqsearch.com . I just need to find an add-on for vB that automatically bans them if they use that domain.

vBulletin Options -> User Banning Options

block @iqsearch.com

also see if they share an ip block and ban that as well.
